6ABC.com and WPVI are reporting from Cobbs Creek on a multiple vehicle crash that hurt several people, among them children.
The accident happened at the intersection of 59th Street and Washington Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia this afternoon.
Dramatic footage from a nearby surveillance camera shows one vehicle slamming into another in the middle of the intersection. People from the neighborhood raced into action to pull the injured from one vehicle that had turned over and was laying on its roof.
Authorities say several children were taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia while two adults were received by Penn Presbyterian Hospital. No word has yet been released on anyone’s identity or condition.
The accident investigation remains ongoing.
