NBCPhiladelphia.com is reporting on a nine vehicle car and truck accident Saturday afternoon that injured several people and took the life of a local politician.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 PM on South Route 202 in West Goshen Township in Chester County.
Details are few at this time, however, the accident was particularly horrific, including a semi-truck and trailer which flipped on its sides and burst into flames, incinerating its load of frozen turkeys.
Dead is Adam Harrison Swope, 38, of Malvern, Pennsylvania, who was killed when the semi-truck crashed into his car. Swope was well connected with the Democrat Party in Chester County politics and friends are already commenting on his death in social media.
The accident investigation is continuing at this time, with no word yet on the total number of people injured or the extent of their injuries.
